Getting Started
How do I create an account? +

Download HB Music Feed from the App Store, open the app, and tap Sign Up. Choose whether you're joining as a Fan (discover and follow music) or an Artist (upload music and sell tickets), then enter your name, username, email, and password.

After signing up, you'll receive a confirmation email. Tap the link in that email to confirm your account, then return to the app and sign in.

I didn't receive my confirmation email. What should I do? +

Check your spam or junk folder first. If it's not there, return to the app's sign-up screen and tap Resend confirmation email. The resend button appears on the "Check your inbox" screen after signing up.

If you're still having trouble, email us at support@hbmusicfeed.com and we'll sort it out.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it? +

On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and enter the email address you used to sign up. We'll send you a password reset link. The link expires after a short period, so use it promptly.

If you don't receive the reset email, check your spam folder or contact us at support@hbmusicfeed.com.

Can I use HB Music Feed on the web? +

Yes — HB Music Feed is available at hbmusicfeed.com. You can browse music, artist profiles, and articles on any browser. Download the iOS app for the full experience including background audio playback, push notifications, and ticket scanning.

Account & Settings
How do I delete my account? +

Account deletion is available directly in the app. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, select a reason, confirm by typing DELETE, and submit. Your account and personal data are permanently removed.

For legal and financial record-keeping purposes, anonymised ticket order records may be retained as permitted by applicable law — personal identifiers are removed at the point of deletion.

How do I change my username or profile photo? +

Tap your profile icon in the app, then tap Edit Profile. From there you can update your display name, username, bio, profile photo, and banner image.

Can I switch between a Fan and Artist account? +

If you'd like to upgrade your account to Artist, email us at support@hbmusicfeed.com with your username and we'll make the change for you.

Tickets & Payments
How do I buy tickets to an event? +

Open the event from the feed or an artist's profile, select your ticket type, and tap Buy Tickets. Checkout is handled securely by Stripe — you'll see an itemised breakdown of the ticket price, HB's 1.5% platform fee, and Stripe's processing fee before you confirm.

Your tickets appear instantly under My Tickets in the app, with a QR code ready to scan at the door.

What fees apply when I buy a ticket? +

Two fees are added to the organiser's face-value price at checkout, and both are itemised before you confirm:

  • HB Music Feed platform fee: 1.5% of the ticket face value.
  • Stripe payment processing fee: approximately 2.9% + $0.30 per order.

There are no hidden fees. The total you see at checkout is the total you pay.

Can I get a refund on my ticket? +

All ticket sales are final. Refunds are only available if the event is cancelled by the organiser, or if a natural disaster or force majeure prevents the event from happening.

In those cases, the event organiser (seller of record) processes the refund from their Stripe account. Stripe's processing fee is not returned by Stripe on a refund. HB Music Feed's 1.5% platform fee may be refunded on a case-by-case basis at HB Music Feed's discretion.

My ticket isn't showing up. What should I do? +

Pull down to refresh the My Tickets screen. If your payment went through but the ticket isn't appearing after a few minutes, email us at support@hbmusicfeed.com with your order confirmation and we'll resolve it quickly.

For Artists
How do I set up payouts as an artist? +

Open your Artist Dashboard and tap Set up direct payouts. This walks you through a one-time Stripe Connect onboarding where you enter your identity and bank account details directly with Stripe — we never see or store your banking information.

Once Stripe verifies your account (usually immediate), you can start selling tickets. Your earnings deposit directly to your bank on Stripe's standard payout schedule, after a 72-business-hour holding period per sale (weekends and public holidays excluded).

How much does HB Music Feed keep from ticket sales? +

HB Music Feed keeps 1.5% of the ticket face value as a platform fee. You keep 98.5% of the face-value price you set. Stripe's payment processing fee (~2.9% + $0.30) is added on top and charged to the buyer at checkout — it does not come out of your payout.

How do I create an event and sell tickets? +

From your Artist Dashboard, tap Create Event, fill in your event details, then open Manage Tickets to add ticket types (name, description, price, and quantity). Tickets go on sale immediately once you publish the event.

You must have Stripe Connect set up before buyers can complete a purchase.

How do I scan tickets at my event? +

Open Manage Tickets for your event and tap Scan Tickets. The app uses your device camera to scan the QR code on each buyer's ticket and instantly shows whether it's valid or already used. No extra hardware or third-party app needed.

Troubleshooting
The app isn't playing audio in the background. How do I fix it? +

Make sure Background App Refresh is enabled for HB Music Feed: go to your iPhone's Settings → HB Music Feed → Background App Refresh and turn it on. Also check that your device is not in Low Power Mode, which can restrict background audio.

I'm seeing an error or the app keeps crashing. What should I do? +

Try these steps in order:

  • Force-close the app and reopen it.
  • Check that you're on the latest version of the app in the App Store.
  • Check your internet connection.
  • Sign out and sign back in (Settings → Account → Sign Out).

If the issue persists, email support@hbmusicfeed.com with a description of what happened and your device model / iOS version.

How do I report a user or inappropriate content? +

Tap the three-dot (⋯) menu on any track, post, or profile and select Report. You can also block a user from their profile page. We take all reports seriously and review them promptly. For urgent concerns, email support@hbmusicfeed.com.
